Custodian - 1 pm to 9 pm

Roechling Medical Lancaster, a local contract manufacturer of medical devices, located right off 222 in DENVER, PENNSYLVANIA, is looking to add a Custodian on 2nd shift. The work hours will be ~1 pm to 9 pm with the possibility of overtime.

SUMMARY

Under direct supervision of the Facility Sanitation Supervisor, performs a variety of routine janitorial duties on a daily basis, to clean the office and manufacturing areas including but not limited to: removal of trash, mopping and vacuuming floors, and cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms. The desired candidate will follow all company operating procedures to complete work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Removes and disposes of trash and refuse from all offices, conference rooms, bathrooms, lunchroom, and picnic area, if needed. Checks the shredder area for shredded material to be discarded.
• Mops the lunchroom floor; cleans tabletops, sink and counter areas, microwave oven, and vending machines; fill paper towel dispensers.
• Cleans sinks, toilets, and showers in bathrooms with disinfectant bathroom cleaner; fills paper towel and soap dispensers; cleans mirrors, partitions, and doors; and mops the bathroom floor.
• Cleans and vacuums offices and conference rooms; cleans and dusts office partitions.
• Mops lobby floor; cleans and dusts reception area and conference rooms; empties and removes trash and refuse; sprays all door handles with Lysol®.
• Provides feedback to co‐workers, supervisor, and Company management on a regular basis to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Actively participates and adheres to Company policies and programs on occupational health and safety, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and ISO procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Six months to a year experience cleaning in a commercial setting.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals.

Demonstrated oral and written communications skills to effectively interface with all levels of Company management and staff.
