POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising purchasing functions for Method Flow and Method Flow Modular Fabrication in compliance with corporate requirements. In addition to overseeing daily activities; negotiating terms and conditions with vendors and /or service providers while achieving department objectives and goals.
- Manage all Method Flow purchasing processes, including developing, implementing, expediting, and following, and controlling all Method Flow purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Develop and maintain a vendor scorecard system.
- Manage department employees, responsible for training, performance management, and hiring of the employees.
- Support Project Controls with corporate scheduling and estimating.
- Oversee and Assist the Director of global Supply Chain with purchasing (including formal, short-form, and annual contracts, purchase orders), drafting, evaluation, negotiation, and execution, such as consignment agreements, subcontracts, consulting, and master agreements.
- Implement our purchasing processes to facilitate the completion of projects within cost and schedule guidelines and develop methods to improve Method Flow’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cultivate alternate sources of supply, negotiate pricing and terms & conditions, and manage all commercial aspects of the selection and contracting processes for equipment and services procured by Method Flow.
- Handle Assist Director, Global Supply Chain with oversight of the budget process regarding historical costs and tracking of budget estimate vs. actual cost experience.
- Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing, etc.).
- Assists with the development and implementation of Method Flow’s cost accounting system, implementing any potential cost-saving techniques.
- Nurture and preserve good relationships with suppliers and promote the corporation’s commitment to high standards of credibility, integrity, and ethics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
- Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
- Oversee all inventory at Method Flow Modular Fabrication and review weekly transfers.
- Handle quarterly inventory counts and reconcile issues with the accounting manager.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is strongly preferred; or at least 10 years of Buyer experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- APICS CSCP training is required, certification is strongly preferred.
- Seven years of supply chain-related training and experience is required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamental business law, contracting practices, and purchasing practices including contract laws, tax issues, and shipping/freight issues is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Method Flow’s products and services, purchasing and job costing system, and various contract Terms & Conditions is preferred.
- Familiar with general industrial processes, equipment, hardware, and general construction methods and materials.
- Must have persuasive negotiating skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and good overall organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate persistence, resolve, resourcefulness, and a high degree of ethical standards and professionalism.
- Active membership in purchasing-related trade organizations is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to negotiate contracts.
- Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required, experience with SharePoint is preferred.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
