Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy in coding and data entry.
- Perform journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain accounts payable records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Utilize accounting software such as ADP, Kronos, or PeopleSoft for efficient processing.
- Analyze discrepancies in invoices and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activities as needed.
- Assist with month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits in accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software; familiarity with ADP, Kronos, or PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
