What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Cost Accountant position at Roessel Joy?
Roessel Joy has partnered with a growing food manufacturer in the greater Boston area on a new Senior Cost Accountant position. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years working in a manufacturing setting and experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cost accounting reporting and analysis documentation.
- Work cross functionally with Operations team to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
- Develop Annual Operating Plan along with other forecasting and budgeting reports.
- Support month-end close process and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations for COGS.
- Analyze and make recommendations on cost savings initiatives.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure inventory is being properly recorded.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other business degree
- 5 years of cost accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience required
- Knowledge of costing techniques and manufacturing experience required
- Team player and collaborative mindset.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work well independently and in a team environment
- Provide leadership skills
Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
