Rogers Group is seeking candidates for MILLING MACHINE OPERATOR to join our road construction team out of Cookeville, TN. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience working with asphalt milling. They should be familiar with the operation of the milling machine, and have experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment to support the milling process.

Rogers Group is seeking candidates for MILLING MACHINE OPERATOR to join our road construction team out of Cookeville, TN. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience working with asphalt milling. They should be familiar with the operation of the milling machine, and have experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment to support the milling process.
- Support the milling process by completing groundwork, changing teeth on the milling machine, and operating other pieces of heavy equipment to support the milling process – such as a skid steer, broom, and water truck.
- Work safely and appropriately for varied conditions and situations.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks, cleaning, and greasing, etc.
- Operate with a priority of job safety for all persons working around the equipment.
- Communicate clearly with crew-members to work as a team.
- Work with the team to provide a fully prepared site for the paving crew.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- At least 1 year of previous milling or asphalt crew experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks around the mill as needed.
- Ability to operate a skid steer and broom.
- General and applied knowledge of the paving process and proper procedures for quality finished work.
- Must be dependable and show up for all assigned shifts.
- Able and willing to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold for extended shifts.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
- CDL-A while not required is a definite plus.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
