We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.
Rogers Group is currently seeking an Estimator for our Alabama Operations Area located in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Active participation in company safety program, values, policies, and strategic plan.
- Knowledge of Asphalt Paving, Grading / Drainage and Utility work is required.
- Prepares bid packages, estimates, analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for commercial, municipality.
- Reviews plans, specifications, contract documents and attend pre-bid meetings to understand requirements for accurate bid preparation.
- Communicate with Owners, Engineers, Architects, Customers, and internal team members to develop bid packages and resolve issues.
- Analyzes quotes, historical cost, and pricing information for preparation of bids and construction subcontracts.
- Leads the estimate handoff process from bid to the construction management team.
- Follow-up to ensure completion and close-out of projects.
- Assist in compiling annual reports and budgets.
- Assist our construction project management team resolve site problems and help determine schedule and cost impacts.
- Perform additional tasks and assignments as necessary to meet deadlines or at management’s discretion.
