We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.
Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Foreman position in our Tuscumbia, Alabama quarry. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage an operation with approximately 12 employees.
- Efficiently supervise production and sales of an 800,000 TPY operation.
- Ensure the pit and mine activities are achieved to plans.
- Participate in mine and pit planning.
- Document and track downtime in the fixed plant as well as bringing new ideas that will increase productivity.
- Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
- Manage daily production of crushed stone to ensure weekly / monthly goals are achieved while ensuring a safe work environment and meeting quality control requirements.
- Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and providing development through training and accountability.
- Participate in hiring, coaching, progressive discipline and training of hourly crew.
- Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations.
- Actively reach out and be involved in the local community.
- Be capable of developing into a Plant Manager.
