What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Support Specialist: Elementary position at Rogers School District?
- Work closely with the elementary assistant superintendent, executive director of counseling, and the ALE principal to achieve district goals.
- Consult and collaborate with elementary administrators to determine building behavioral support needs.
- Collaborate with elementary administrators to implement district wide Tier 1 positive behavioral support systems in buildings and classrooms.
- Obtain and provide resources for buildings and teachers to address needed behavioral supports and Tier II interventions.
- Observe, model, consult in classrooms to strengthen Tier I behavior implementation and personalized Tier II development.
- Build collaborative relationships with social workers, counselors, building principals and other district personnel to meet the needs of students.
- Build positive relationships with parents of students with behavioral needs..
- Advocate on a state level for support to increase behavior supports for public schools.
- Provide district and building professional development as needed
Applicants will need to be certified in Arkansas Elementary Education. Masters degree preferred (salary posted is based on a masters degree).
202 day contract.
