Roggy Eye Clinic, a locally owned practice with award winning patient care, is recruiting an outgoing, detail-oriented team player to join our Front Desk team full time. This position ensures a positive patient experience by providing friendly and efficient check in, check out, and scheduling. This role offers the opportunity to assist in the optical department, as well as with administrative projects, and long-term stability.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and guide them through the check in and check out processes, including processing payments
- Ensure efficient operation of the office by answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining information in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and running reports
- Provide accurate accounting of daily receipts with associated documentation
- Maintain patient scheduling in a way that provides maximum benefit to the practice. Balance patient preferences with internal coverage to ensure a steady, yet manageable flow of appointments. Respond to emergency appointments or rescheduling requests in a timely manner
- Actively pursue strategies to increase patient retention through appointment notifications and phone calls.
- Prepare charts and evaluate the next day’s patient list to secure appropriate authorizations, records and paperwork for care. Ensure all paperwork has been completed and documented
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by ensuring the office appearance and process of care from greeting to retention consistently exceeds patient expectations
- Exhibit the values of the practice by communicating gratitude, value of products and services, and transparent billing procedures
Ideal candidates will possess strong customer service and communication skills, be detail oriented, an independent worker, and have effective computer skills. Experience in optometry and/or a medical office and insurance billing is helpful, but not a requirement; we are willing to train the right individual.
