Position Summary |
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Finance, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for providing leadership and management to the units of the Information Technology Services and is responsible for system-wide planning, management, security, and coordination of the technology resources of Rogue Community College. The CIO represents the College in information technology-related matters with federal and state agencies, corporate entities, and other institutions of higher education. The CIO is responsible for the management of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, file storage and networking infrastructure, information security, instructional technologies, technical training and maintenance, user support services, the College’s open – access computer labs, and policy development regarding information services for students, faculty, and staff. The CIO oversees the review and analysis, coordination, and recommendation to the Vice President of Operations and Finance of computer-related purchases and upgrades and ensures that new applications and technologies are compatible with existing systems and are appropriately integrated into the College’s enterprise architecture. The CIO provides leadership and supervision of staff, budget oversight and development, administrative and academic support, and strategic planning and implementation for areas of responsibility. Additionally, the position supports education by providing college–wide technology that promotes student success and excellence. |

Public Service Loan ForgivenessRogue Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
