What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thin Films Technician I position at Rogue Valley Microdevices Inc.?
The Wafer Fabrication Technician I is responsible for processing product through multiple wafer fab processing steps including; but not limited to photo-lithography, wet and dry etching, wafer cleaning, and thin film deposition.
- Perform multiple Metrology tasks including incoming wafer inspection for cleanliness and defects as well as measuring and inspecting wafers during wafer fab processing to ensure that they meet customer specifications.
- Collect all necessary pre and post processing data and record data into tooling log books as well as lot travelers.
- Perform general clean room duties such as but not limited to stocking supplies and maintaining integrity of clean room.
- Categorize incoming wafers lots for processing which includes un-bagging, tagging, and staging.
- Prepare wafers for shipment which requires creating certificates of conformance or analysis documentation as well as wrapping wafer lots for shipment once customer orders are completed.
- Effectively communicate one-on-one verbally and electronically with fellow team members, equipment personnel, engineering staff, and occasionally customers and/or vendors.
- Enthusiastic approach to one’s work and a dedication and responsibility to get the job done.
- Will be expected to work extended hours as needed and one day/night per weekend.
- Follow all clean room, safety, and hazardous materials protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school desirable.
- Detailed oriented and able to multi-task.
- Quick learner and be able to work competently in a high-pressure environment.
- Position requires one to be able to work for extended hours on their feet in a clean room environment.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team-oriented environment as well as work individually with little or no supervision.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft environments including Office.
- Must have good interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communications.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Work with steady hands.
