We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Director to lead our Land Acquisition Department in Davenport, FL. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in residential real estate development, land acquisitions, community development, and homebuilding.
About the Job
- Oversight of the Land Acquisition Department including hiring and employee development.
- Active role in deal making - source, place under contract, receive governmental approval, and close on new land assets (undeveloped land developed lots) in Polk and Lake counties.
- Collaboration with property owners, brokers, land developers, city officials, and others to secure land.
About You
- 6 years of successful land acquisition experience in the homebuilding industry.
- Team leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in the use of market research tools and knowledge of GIS mapping applications and Google Earth.
- Working knowledge of Florida zoning and land use practices, development standards, and utility solutions.
