Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support our data management efforts for government clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in database administration across various Database Management Systems (DBMS) and cloud platforms, particularly AWS RDS. This role requires expertise in database design, automation, optimization, and security. You will work closely with the technical team to ensure database stability, performance, and reliability. This role will also involve data migration, backup / recovery, and performance monitoring to maintain efficient data systems.
Responsibilities :
- Manage, design, and maintain databases across multiple platforms, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with developers and data architects to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Design and model databases using E-R diagrams and data normalization techniques.
- Optimize SQL queries through tuning and indexing to improve database performance.
- Implement and manage database security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Perform routine backups, recovery tasks, and monitoring to maintain database reliability.
- Execute data migration, ETL processes, and integration to support data warehousing initiatives.
- Automate database maintenance tasks through scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
