Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Create client estimates, deposit requests, and purchase orders in adherence to internal processes.
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and bank deposits, using accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice management, payment tracking, and reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including journal entries and account reconciliations, to ensure accurate account balances.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy.
- Oversee payroll processing by external vendors, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and information.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
- Contribute to team success by completing related tasks as assigned.
- Education:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience.
- Skills & Proficiencies:
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
