We are seeking a high-performing and successful Senior Financial Analyst - Consolidations to join a prominent health system in Indianapolis, IN. The Senior Financial Analyst – Consolidations role requires two days per week in the office with occasional onsite meetings during audits, orientation and training, quarterly reporting, and various times as needed.
The Senior Financial Analyst - Consolidations will manage the consolidated financial reporting for assigned entities including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, SEC and statutory reporting, internal controls, and preparing financial reports for quarterly board meetings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for accurate accounting of consolidated business results for assigned areas.
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage internal reporting on consolidated results, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
- Reconcile eliminations and confirm intercompany balances with subsidiaries and other group entities.
- Assist with the coordination and timely completion of required CMS, hospital, and associated surveys.
- Support activities related to external audits, including attending meetings, understanding observations, interpreting policies and procedures, identifying SOX deficiencies, and contributing to innovative remediation and process improvement opportunities.
- Meet with key business leaders to ensure the control environment accurately reflects current practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams to understand and evaluate changes in the control environment for SOX reporting and compliance purposes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with various internal business teams, including local, regional, and system finance teams, C-suite, and other business areas.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with polished written and oral communication abilities. Exhibit exceptional regulatory, reimbursement, financial analysis, and business planning skills.
- Maintain a robust knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and US GAAP.
- Utilize financial software and consolidation systems effectively.
- Continuously improve and streamline consolidation processes to enhance efficiency.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulations, implementing changes as necessary.
