Job Description:
We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Instructor/Trainer I to deliver hands-on training sessions for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and USPTO-specific software tools. The ideal candidate will support developing and refining training materials while ensuring effective training delivery and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducted training sessions and provided hands-on assistance with Microsoft Office products, collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, WebEx), and other commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
- Assist with the development of new training materials and modify or customize existing training resources to meet specific user needs.
- Ensure all training materials are available and equipment is set up and functional before the start of sessions. Troubleshoot and resolve training equipment issues as needed.
- Test newly developed or updated software products from the user’s perspective to provide feedback and help clarify training requirements.
- Provide input for continuously improving training materials to enhance the learner experience.
- Support individual learners through personalized guidance during sessions and assist with understanding key software functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (education requirement may be waived with 4 years of relevant adult training experience).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools and experience in delivering technical training.
- Experience assisting with the development and customization of training materials.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to training equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and support learners.

Pay: $27.83 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
