The Marketing Community Coordinator – Cat Category is responsible for leading content strategy, community engagement and influencer partnerships across our digital reach: social platforms, website, retailer activation & loyalty, as well as ecommerce channels. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate in wordsmithing, innovative and authentic connections that creates impactful content to drive brand growth through storytelling and collaboration. This role plays a critical part in enhancing brand awareness for our cat portfolio, thumb-stopping material, and fostering relationships with cat-parent creatives. With a focus on a full-funnel marketing approach, this role supports all sales channels, including Amazon, retail partners, and our direct-to-consumer (DTC) website.
As the catalyst building Catit community in support of customer engagement, product page enhancements and connecting the brand across multiple platforms & philanthropic activations – the Marketing Community Coordinator – Cat Category bridges the digital marketing channels—including paid, organic, social, and third-party platforms—to the Catit brand objectives for one-voice of Catit tailored to the cat brand.
Additionally, this role supports the Marketing Technology Coordinator with growth of brand programs such as MyCat Magazine, the Art Contest, and the Shelter Contest, while integrating emerging trends in social commerce and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance performance and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Development and Execution
- Foster the Catit brand story and create compelling content for social media, DTC websites, and ecommerce platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and marketing goals.
- Collaborate with design and creative teams to create and produce engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and animations.
- Provide guidance on video content creation and editing.
- Assist Digital Marketing Coordinator with the optimization of content for SEO, engagement, and conversions on digital channels.
- Oversee media calendar and timelines for timely submissions and approvals
- Actively engage with online communities, responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster meaningful connections and enhance brand loyalty.
- Monitor and analyze community sentiment, providing insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow social media following and engagement.
- Identify, recruit, and manage partnerships with influencers and brand advocates to amplify brand messaging.
- Maintain contracts, oversee deliverables, and measure the impact of influencer campaigns.
- Coordinate product samples, contest and giveaway mailings
- Assist with the creation of promotional packages to engage community
- Execute an annual social media calendar to align content with key brand milestones, product launches, campaigns, and holidays.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment across all channels.
- Track content performance and community engagement metrics, leveraging data to refine strategies and improving results.
- Prepare regular reports on content, influencer campaigns, and community initiatives to present to stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in content writing, social media management, or community engagement.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
- Proven experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and ecommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Shopify, Hootsuite).
- Strong understanding of influencer marketing trends and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Innate curiosity and a desire to explore AI tools to enhance workflows, content creation, and analytics.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Experience with paid social media campaigns.
