Responsibilities:
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order.
- Collect delivery instructions, verifying instructions and routes.
- Maintain logs of working hours (Hours of Service via Samsara) or of vehicle service or repair status (DVIRs via Samsara), following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to your supervisor.
- Safely secure cargo for transport.
- Safely drive company trucks.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
- Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
- Operate equipment, such as truck devices, and/or telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or venders.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
- Safely load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all DOT regulations.
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Pumping portable restroom waste using a vacuum pump truck.
- Pressure washing restroom interior and exterior surfaces.
- Cleaning all fixtures and restocking toilet paper, urinal blocks, and hand towels.
- Moving portable restrooms on site, pickup/delivery to and from job sites.
- Handling, moving, and troubleshooting blockages in 50’ suction hoses.
- Properly disposing of waste.
- Complete required paperwork, turning it in daily.
- Assist as necessary in the repair and assembly of portable toilets.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 24 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
- Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
- Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
