Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and safety-conscious Driver to operate a commercial vehicle on a dedicated route to transport Fly Ash from the Ray Nixon Power plant to our Penrose facility. The driver will complete three to four trips daily, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while adhering to all federal, state, and company safety regulations. The ideal candidate must possess a valid CDL Class A license, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport fly ash on a dedicated route to a power plant.
- Complete up to three trips daily, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to the schedule.
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle and equipment, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all company and customer protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, including trip logs, delivery tickets, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Report any incidents, mechanical issues, or delays promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance for both the vehicle and personal presentation.
Qualifications:
- CDL Class A License (Required) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of [X years] of experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle (preferred).
- Ability to operate specialized equipment related to fly ash transportation (training provided if necessary).
