The Unit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care on the Co-Occurring Unit for twenty-four hours daily in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals, and objectives.  The Unit Coordinator assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to the Co-Occurring Unit.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

            Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

            Current license from the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse

            Certification from the American Nurses Association Credentialing Board is preferred

            CPR and HWC certification

Experience:

            A minimum of three years’ experience in psychiatric healthcare preferred.  At least one year of experience on Adolescent Unit(s) is preferred.
