Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood Educator at Rollins Child Development Center. The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children, promoting social-emotional development, fostering a love of learning, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Our teachers are responsible for:
- Building responsive relationships with all children, families and co-workers
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans using approved school curriculums
- Record keeping and reporting as indicated by school policies and Georgia state regulations
- Maintaining and modeling professional and ethical standards as stated
- Using a variety of approved methods and material to engage students to reach all areas of growth and development to include cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth
- Diaper changing and toilet training when required
- Other duties as specified and directed
Requirements:
- Georgia state issued CDA is minimum educational requirement
- Masters, Bachelor or Associate degrees are preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in related field
- Must pass extensive criminal background and drug screens
- Must be available and willing to work one Saturday per month
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong written and communication skills
