What you will be doing You will be reporting to Assistant General Counsel – Defence, you will lead the provision of legal advice across a hugely diverse range of matters across the Defence business. You will: Work with other advisers within the General Counsel function (Commercial, Export Control, Compliance, Intellectual Property) to provide integrated, pragmatic solutions for the management of legal risk. Provide high quality drafting and advice to support contract placement and amendment. Support complex contract negotiations with customers, governments and suppliers. Deliver strategic input to shape the transactions that will enable our customers to perform their vital missions. Understand the competing commercial and regulatory drivers as the business develops novel technologies across the evolving global defence market, and help the business succeed in those markets. Ensure the business receives high-quality advice about its legal obligations relating to product safety.
