St. Patrick's Parish in Rockville Maryland is hiring a Director of Religious Education.
This is a full time role and will report to the Pastor and will require weekend and evening hours.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 t0 $58,000

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of Parish Religious Education Program including Children’s Faith Formation, Middle School program, OCIA adapted for children, and Sacramental preparation for parish school /parish program.
- Develop and implement Religious Education for 200 students.
- Oversee Children’s Catechumenal and Sacramental Preparation
- Identify, coordinate and mentor catechists and volunteers
- Supervise other religious education personnel
- Evaluate program curricula
- Responsible for developing a budget for Religious Education Program
- Perform related duties as assigned by Pastor
- Maintain compliance with all archdiocesan and parish policies and procedures
- Maintain communication with parents
- Plan and implement monthly Sacramental Retreat Days – First Penance/Eucharist
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be a practicing Catholic with a love for Jesus Christ and the faith and a commitment to living its teachings.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills, and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking initiative and completing tasks in accordance with given instructions, established routines, and best practices.
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support the ministry.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Religious Education or similar degree. We are willing to discuss.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and charitably with students, parents, candidates, and volunteers on a regular basis.
- At least two years of experience in a parish setting, specifically as a catechetical leader.

- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite helpful.
- Experience with administrative functions (budgeting, scheduling, institutional relationships)
- Experience with database and records management.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers and filing systems.
Salary : $55,000 - $58,000
