Job Description
The Diocese of Portland has an opening for the Coordinator of Children and Family Formation. This full-time position works with the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation team and other diocesan offices to coordinate the planning, implementation, and assessment of diocesan guidelines and best practices related to the ongoing catechesis for adults and children, including Circle of Grace safe environment training and immediate preparation and celebration of the initiation Sacraments. This includes visiting parishes and accompanying parish leaders in developing and maintaining ministerial and professional competencies related to faithfully carrying out these ministries at the local level. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Catechesis or a related field, 3-5 years of experience in catechetical ministry and sacramental preparation in a parish setting, and be an active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church with knowledge of the Roman Catholic theological tradition.About the Employer
