St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church is seeking a Director of Human Concerns/Justice and Peace Ministry.
The Human Concerns/Justice & Peace Ministry is committed to the fulfillment of the Gospel call to love of neighbor and the Church's call to action on behalf of justice.
The Director of Social Ministry on behalf of the parishioners is constantly:
- Seeking opportunities to respond to the needs of the deprived, disabled, neglected, incarcerated, and oppressed in the parish, in our community and in the world at large, in response to our responsibilities as outlined in the Corporal Works of Mercy.
- Promoting legislative advocacy for a consistent ethic of life including the rights of the unborn and extending throughout the course of life until natural death.
- Promoting advocacy seeking economic and political justice for the oppressed and empowerment of the marginalized in our society.
