Payroll Assistant Job Summary
Our company is seeking a Payroll Assistant to help with our payroll operations. This is primarily a data entry position, so you will be responsible for assisting with timecard verification and contacting employees regarding any discrepancies. You will also make sure we are in compliance with employment laws. Our ideal applicant has payroll processing or human resources experience and familiarity with various administrative software programs, including Paycom HR, Microsoft Outlook, and invoicing applications.
Payroll Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify employee timecards within deadline for payroll processing
- Communicate with employees regarding any discrepancies
- Assist with problem solving if/when issues arise
- Fulfill other payroll tasks as needed
- Will need to work some weekends and holidays
Payroll Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
- HR experience or payroll experience required
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with HR and payroll software
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking
