Position Summary of the HR/Safety Intern:
Romanoff’s paid internship enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through various tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. The successful student will develop and demonstrate their skills and abilities by contributing to meaningful and purposeful projects and tasks. The Human Resources intern will work on key projects and initiatives with the CHRO, Human Resources, Payroll, and Safety teams.
This is an in-office internship, hours are fulltime during summer and part time during the school season. June 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024.
Position Responsibilities of the HR/Safety Intern:
- Apply formal learning theories into day-to-day practice and actively contribute innovative and creative solutions to improve HR department programs and initiatives.
- Perform human resources management duties to gain experience while supporting key employee experience and talent management deliverables.
- Build valuable relationships with internal and external stakeholders through collaborative work.
- Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, plan and organize deliverables and provide regular updates on progress, successes, and challenges.
- Data entry, Auditing and Scanning personnel files
- Review and update policies and procedures.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Help in the preparation of reports and documentation.
- Additional tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications of the HR/Safety Intern:
- Must be enrolled in an Accredited program
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Valid US Work Authorization
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to adhere to large amounts of sitting
- Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
- Must be willing to work in office setting full time
