We are currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Technician Level III.
The tasks and responsibilities required of the Maintenance Technician Level III are outlined below:
- Perform preventative maintenance projects as assigned by a maintenance management software program including labor, parts entries, and maintaining inventory. Accurately track machine downtime via an automated system.
- Must be able to maintain and repair high speed/high volume manufacturing equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on food grade machinery and equipment. Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling, and assembling parts, components, and motors. Performs all duties according to safety procedures.
- Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
- Operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of machinery in a food grade environment. Follow blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Must be able to coordinate and assist all machine operators with training, problem identification, and repairs. Must coordinate all activities with production scheduler.
- Responsible to follow all Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards.
- Constructs, maintains, and tests production equipment, machinery, and components. Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary.
- Represent Romark on conference calls with other maintenance departments in the network and customers as required by Management.
- General maintenance responsibilities include but not limited to:
- A significant amount of painting inside and outside the facility, including the roof.
- Rack repairs and moves.
- Dock equipment – locks, ramps, fuses, cleaning, and similar.
- Production equipment, operation controls, and related improvements.
- Plumbing (including all automated valves).
- Floor joint repair.
- Lighting fixtures – bulbs, ballasts, wiring.
- Assist with ice/snow removal.
- Assist with identifying and eliminating any security or safety issues.
- Occasionally work with Sanitation to prepare for inspections or to assist with cleaning up the facility.
- Warehouse Maintenance Employee(s) will make every effort to be available during off hours including weekends and can respond to emergencies.
- Maintenance Employee(s) are required to occasionally work overtime including weekends and nights to complete projects. All projects are to be completed in a timely fashion and cost-effective manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The skills and qualifications required of the Maintenance Technician Level III are outlined below:
- 3—5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role or similar role with a proven track record of similar duties.
- Two-year degree in industrial maintenance
- Or a combination of both experience and education
- Must be experienced with conveyors and similar production equipment, electrical, plc, parts management, plumbing, painting, pneumatics and hydraulics, welding, machine repairs, bagging equipment, etc.
- Strong communication skills both orally and written required. Must be able to maintain a positive, professional, and pro-active attitude at all times in a fast-paced and changing environment. This includes interactions with co-workers, customers, and contractors.
- Work requires significant attention to detail in safety, recording, logging, inspecting, and testing.
- Requires having ability to use a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet. Must be able to manage a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or 2-year degree in a technical field preferred.
- Physical requirement: must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally and must be able to repeatedly bend, grasp, push, pull, lift, and similar throughout the day. Must be able to work up to a 50’ elevation from the ground and for extended periods of time, both inside and outside on different equipment such as aerial boom lift, scissor lift, order picker, and be able to operate all MHE (material handling equipment).
