We are currently recruiting for the position of Procurement & Commercial Manager.
The Procurement & Commercial Manager role is an important position and vital for advancing our company's procurement activities while upholding our high standards and optimizing our commercial operations. It offers a chance to make a significant impact by developing internal policies and collaborating with various teams to identify cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify and mitigate compliance-related risks to safeguard our operations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure we’re consistently meeting our compliance standards.
Contract Review and Document Management:
- Oversee that all contracts and agreements align with our company standards and go through thorough legal reviews.
- Manage contracts efficiently, ensuring all terms are met and document renewals are on track.
Supplier Management:
- Seek out and assess potential suppliers who can fulfill our company’s unique needs.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts, fostering strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers.
- Develop thoughtful contingency plans to ensure alternative sourcing in the event of unforeseen supplier challenges.
Procurement Activities:
- Handle internal requests for goods and services, ensuring smooth and timely order placements with our suppliers.
- Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to secure the best possible terms for our company.
- Identify and implement exciting cost-saving opportunities while working diligently within budget parameters.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, cost analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- Work hand-in-hand with Operations to ensure that materials are procured in a timely manner for production and other operational needs.
- Expertly draft and review contracts, ensuring strict compliance.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to confirm that all purchased goods meet our high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration; an MBA would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in complex business environments; international experience is a plus.
- Proven negotiation skills with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Expertise in managing, reviewing, and aligning contracts with our goals and legal obligations.
- Strong financial acumen to analyze cost structures, budgets, and financial reports.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye on market trends and the ability to use procurement data for informed decision-making.
- Experience in risk management, particularly regarding contracts and supply chain challenges.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- A talent for building and managing relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills that enable you to oversee multiple projects seamlessly.
