ROMCO Power Systems sells and supports diesel compressors, generators, light towers, pumps, and compact dirt engaging equipment. In addition to providing the previously mentioned, RPS also supplies new and rebuilt diesel industrial engines.
ROMCO Power Systems (RPS), a division of ROMCO Equipment Company, is currently seeking a proven, self-motivated Sales Professional to manage the Corpus Christi / Gulf Texas Territory.
Job Purpose
The Sales Professional will assist in establishing ROMCO Power Systems as the premier power solutions and compact equipment provider within the Texas Market. The Sales Professional will interact with customers and promote all aspects of ROMCO Power Systems including, but not limited to the sales, service, rental, and lease options.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Selling, renting, or leasing new/used equipment to new prospects and existing customers
- Developing and increasing power generation/compact equipment sales in respective territory
- Generate and build strong and lasting business relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Communicate with all levels of customer’s organization including jobsite personnel, operators to upper management and decision makers
- Forecast sales and communicate with operations to ensure availability of inventory
- Gathers, identifies, and understands competitive landscape
- Follow, track and understand national and local economic trends and developments that impact local market
- Resolve basic customer product and technical issues
- Attend trade shows and prepare machines for demonstrations and sales
- Cold-calling potential customers and promoting customer satisfaction
- Coordinating and ensuring accuracy in sales/warranty documents
- Actively participate in organized and computer training to assist in personal development and staying current with new products and benefits
- All other duties assigned

- Actively use SalesForce CRM to develop and track sales territory
Education and Experience
- 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably within power systems, compact equipment, or similar industry
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Must be able to travel throughout your designated territory daily
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word and Excel) and other software packages relevant to the position
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be alert and is regularly required to talk or hear. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
This job operates in an office and field environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Frequent travel is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
