The Inpatient Psychiatric Director of Nursing (12-bed unit) coordinates and supervises operations on the unit to ensure that high-quality patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively by our passionate staff dedicated to providing outstanding Behavioral Health Care.
Other duties of the position include but are not limited to :
- All aspects of employee management.
- Participation in the formulation of patient treatment plans
- Provision of mandatory and voluntary in-service training of specialized treatments and therapies, such as individual group and family therapies that require the expertise of the professional psychiatric nurse
- Establishes direct lines of communication to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted service to patients and staff
- Ensures referral process is smooth and efficient, developing outreach connections and maintaining referral sources.
- Demonstrates ability to perform nursing functions utilizing the Nursing Process, promoting evidence-based best practice.Maintains Rome Health policies and procedures, and appropriate regulations within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act.
Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN / MSN preferred. BLS / ACLS is required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive hospital nursing experience in acute care with experience in leadership preferred.
