What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teen Day Camp Counselor position at Romeoville Recreation Department?
The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking fun, outgoing, and adventurous individuals to make a memorable and impactful summer at the NextGen Adventure Camp! This camp is designed for teens aged 11 to 13 years old. Applicants are responsible for developing a safe, fun, and positive camp environment. Responsibilities include: develop, organize, and implement activities for day camp participants, ensure the overall wellbeing and safety of program participants, communicate effectively with campers, parents, coworkers, and supervisor, transporting participants to and from field trips, and enforce camp rules and regulations. Applicants must be able to work in various working environments (mainly outdoors), consistently active, and on your feet.
Dates: 5/27 – 7/25
Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Hours: Varies between 8:45AM to 4:00PM
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old or older to apply
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to become certified.
- Mandated Reporter or willing to become.
Base Pay/Starting Rate for this Position: $16/hour
Position Pay Scale Range: $16/hour - $20/hour
