Position Overview
The Family Services Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for our guests. This position supports daily operations, guest interactions, and facility management to ensure a positive experience for families during their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a sense of community by remaining visible, accessible, and approachable to guests, ensuring requests are addressed promptly and empathetically.
- Identify and report special family situations to the Family Services Manager, offering conflict de-escalation support as needed.
- Perform detailed administrative tasks, including maintaining shift notes, updating rosters, data entry, and completing projects assigned by the Family Services Manager or other team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for phone calls, visitors, and deliveries, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
- Assist with on-site vendor coordination as needed.
- Manage visitor check-ins, providing clear and supportive guidance to guests and volunteers.
- Receive and process in-kind donations with care and accuracy.
- Retrieve daily mail and forward to appropriate staff members.
- Handle interruptions with professionalism and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Support occupancy management by preparing facilities, coordinating guest check-ins, conducting house orientations, and managing check-outs, including related recordkeeping.
- Assist with food pantry inventory, monitoring supply levels, and coordinating replenishment as needed.
- Assist with providing shuttles to families to and from treatment locations when volunteer drivers are unavailable.
- Help maintain the family database, ensuring that all information is kept current and accurately recorded for reliable reporting
