Ronco is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Physical Security Systems Design Engineer in Lancaster, PA. In this role, you will collaborate with the Account Managers to provide the technical expertise required during the sales process. You will be responsible for developing the solution, bill of materials, the scope of work, and supporting documentation.

Accountabilities Include
- Attend in-person or virtual discovery meetings to identify Customers' technology and business requirements
- Attend site surveys to obtain design space details
- Explain technical solutions in simplified terms to customers of varying technical ability
- Produce physical security system designs, cost determinations and budget estimations
- Collaborate with the sales team to inform and create quotes, proposals, bills of material, and scope of work definitions
- Review bidding documents including plans, specifications, and addendums and create Requests for Information (RFI) as needed
- Create and modify project design, floorplan, takeoff, one-line, riser and wiring diagrams
- Validate solutions and integrations in a development environment
- Support the installation phase of projects and ongoing service
- Collaborate with project management and installation teams on scheduling, project requirements, and project design, deployment, and integration challenges
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in deploying, installing, engineering, or designing low-voltage security systems
- Ability to apply expert knowledge in the design, deployment, and integration of electronic security including: design of complex, integrated security systems, physical access control systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter intrusion detection systems, door intercom systems, and wired & wireless door hardware technologies
- Proficiency in CADD software, particularly AutoCAD
- General knowledge of national and regional building code requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction and security hardware plans & specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively express ideas and information
- Experience with server & application administration, configuration, operation and troubleshooting preferred
- Working knowledge of RS232 & RS485 protocols and network-based video transmission technologies preferred
- Experience with Exacvision, Avigilon, Hanwha, and Axis products preferred
- Data networking experience including quality of service for real-time networks preferred
- Experience with Maxxess Access Control, Mercury Access Control Hardware, Lifesafety Hardware, Resideo Intrusion and Aiphone Door Intercom products preferred
- A high level of commitment to task to achieve goals and/or produce something new and ability to occasionally work extended hours and on weekends to complete tasks
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
- A high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to follow policies, processes and procedures
- Basic math computation skills to include, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions
- Computer skills include understanding basic computer manipulation, managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases, creating presentations, finding information, and communicating
- Maintenance of industry-recognized technology credential(s)
- Professional, self-starter who is reliable, flexible, proactive, resilient, organized, and punctual
- Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance, active security clearance preferred
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Occasional regional travel will be required
