Hours : day shift start time is flexible can start at 6am-2 : 30pm Monday through Friday up to 9am - 6pmLength : 12 month assignment with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time.100% onsiteMust haves : HS / AA / AS / BA / BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Safety OR2-5 years of EHS related experience in the chemical, specialty chemical and / or pharmaceutical industryMust be able to complete the client's onboarding requirementsResponsibilities : There is a backlog of work that needs to be caught up on. Seeking an experienced EHS person who can jump in and hit the ground running. Can use any specialty : Industrial hygiene, ISO Programs, Hazard analysis, etc.
- Collaborating with site management and employees on key initiatives to meet compliance to corporate environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Collaborating with site management and employees with Risk Assessments and ensuring needed Risk Assessments are completed including HazOp, PHA, and OPHR activities.
- Collaborating with site management and employees on key initiatives to meet ISO14001 and ISO45001 environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Self-directed with strong background in developing SOP’s. Strong negotiation skills a plus.
- Interacting routinely with site management, supervision, and personnel on EHS related matters.
- Work on special projects to address gaps in EHS programs.Physical Attributes :
