Position Overview
The IT Support Specialist L1 is responsible for providing first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. The position will be a hybrid of on-site and remote IT support, ensuring seamless IT operations and timely resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Monitor and manage ITSM (IT Service Management) tickets, responding promptly to user requests.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Handle troubleshooting for:
- Audio and video conferencing systems.
- Workstation and peripheral device issues (keyboards, monitors, printers, etc.).
- VPN and network connectivity issues.
2. On-Site IT Support (3 Days Per Week)
- Set up and maintain office workstations, ensuring all required hardware and software configurations are in place.
- Support in-office employees with hands-on troubleshooting for IT issues.
- Manage asset tracking and hardware inventory for on-site equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on company hardware.
3. Remote IT Support (5 Days Per Week)
- Provide technical support to off-site employees via remote desktop tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Microsoft Remote Desktop).
- Respond to IT support tickets and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Assist in software installations, configurations, and updates.
4. Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Set up IT accounts and configure new employee workstations.
- Conduct IT orientation sessions for new hires.
- Manage account deactivation and secure data handover for offboarding employees.
- Retrieve and track IT assets from departing employees.
5. IT Procurement & Inventory Management
- Assist in purchasing IT equipment, ensuring availability of necessary hardware and accessories.
- Track IT assets and update inventory records.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
6. Network & Security Compliance
- Ensure compliance with security policies and access controls.
- Assist in network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi connectivity and VPN setup.
- Support security-related initiatives such as software patching and vulnerability management.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions.
- Update internal knowledge bases and IT support guides.
- Generate reports on IT service requests, resolutions, and system performance trends.
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.

- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including VPN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.

Work Schedule & Expectations
- On-Site Support: 3 days per week at the corporate office.
- Remote Support: 5 days per week, responding to IT tickets and assisting remote employees.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed for urgent IT issues or system upgrades.
