Position Summary
The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of all students, employees and visitors on the University Campus.
Roosevelt University seeks a Full-time Campus Safety Officer at the Chicago Campus.
This role is located at the Chicago campus; the schedule is Wednesday through Sunday 10:00PM – 7:00AM with off days on Monday and Tuesday. This is a union position and will require union membership; health and wellness benefits is provided by the union.
The salary for this position is $17/hr.

Earned Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
One year continuous security/safety experience.
Previous experience in preliminary investigation and preparing incident reports.
Previous customer service experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Previous experience in higher education.

Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress. Occasional travel within the local or regional setting may be required.
