This position entails the following category of instruction :
Weekly applied violoncello lessons taught onsite at the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) Chicago campus, working with students enrolled in the following degree programs :
- Bachelor of Music in Violoncello Performance;
- Bachelor of Music Education;
- Bachelor of Musical Arts;
- Bachelor of Arts;
- Master of Music in Violoncello Performance;
- Master of Music in Orchestral Studies, with a Violoncello concentration;
- Professional Diploma in Orchestra Studies, with a Violoncello concentration.
This is a part-time position with a cap of 20 total teaching hours per week.
Job Duties :
Compensation for applied studio teaching generally ranges from $90 to $120 / hour based on an established hourly rate negotiated at the time of hire per the candidate’s qualifications and experience and the needs of the given program.

Working Conditions : Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and / or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds). May be exposed to loud noise from instrument and voice practice rooms on-site.
