Roots Ocean Prime in Darien, Connecticut is seeking an Executive Chef for it's GRAND OPENING! This individual is passionate about the culinary industry! As a part of our management, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Here true hospitality and a menu of prime steaks and fresh seafood are proudly served in familiar, yet exciting atmosphere!
We are looking for leaders who are upbeat, energetic and dedicated to guest satisfaction to join our team! A tasting and trail will be necessary for this position so that we can assess your skillset throughout the interviewing process.

Salary: based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Direct all daily kitchen operations, encompassing food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of culinary professionals, providing ongoing guidance, training, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Partner with the management team to guarantee all culinary offerings consistently meet established standards for taste and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, procure supplies, and control food costs to achieve budgetary objectives while minimizing waste and maximizing product freshness.
- Implement and enforce all health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and cultivating a safe and compliant work environment.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes open communication and teamwork among all culinary staff.

Requirements
4 years of Executive Chef experience in an upscale casual dining or fine dining environment.
Experience in a steakhouse concept is strongly preferred.
The ability to interpret and manage recipes to ensure compliance and minimize waste.
Strong broiler skills are required.
An excellent attention to detail.
Team Player and Mentor.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
