Job Title : Technician

Job Specialty : Scrub - Cardiovascular Experience Required

Job Duration : 12 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 8-hour shifts from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm, must be available for two weekday calls and every 3rd to 4th weekend call

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Clinical operating room experience desired, with a focus on cardiac and vascular experience.

License : Not specified

Certifications : Current certification in surgical technology through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), BLS from the American Heart Association

Must-Have :

  • Cardiac and vascular experience
  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalency examination
  • Surgical Technologist Certification as outlined by regulations

Job Description :

  • Ensure safe patient care following established standards and practices.
  • Assist nurses in planning patient care and collaborate with health team members.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and perform scrubbing duties during surgical procedures.
  • Communicate patient information effectively and ensure equipment and supplies are accounted for.
  • Uphold interpersonal skills by fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and maintaining department service quality standards.
  • Act as a clinical preceptor for scrubbing, collaborating with the patient care coordinator and educators.
  • Maintain a clean environment and ensure proper equipment care and use during surgeries.
  • Adapt and prioritize tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work under stressful conditions, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs.
  • Possess knowledge of organizational policies, safety hazards, and precautions in a healthcare setting.
