Primary Function / General Purpose of Position
Provides direct patient care and assistance during dialysis treatments under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs routine cleaning, disinfecting, and troubleshooting dialysis equipment. Maintains and updates patients records in a timely manner . Assist the staff by performing clerical duties and acknowledge customers upon arrival with an enthusiastic friendly approach.
Essential Job Functions
Setup and prepare dialysis machines and equipment for patient treatment sessions.
Aware of AAMI, DHEC, CDC, and DOQI guidelines for dialysis equipment and infection control.
Keep accurate records of patients' vital signs, medications administered, and other relevant information.
Monitor water treatment system, disinfecting, culturing both main and portable reverse osmosis machines.
Ordering supplies : familiar with standard and non-standard orders.
Under the direction of a RN performs venipuncture of an AVG / AVF and transcribing treatment data to run sheet.

Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Education
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalency examination.

Previous secretarial experience desirable. Previous dialysis experience desirable.
