Job Description:
The Financial Assistant will provide vital support to the Financial Manager and contribute to the efficient financial operations of the company. This role includes responsibilities for accurate data entry, financial recordkeeping, and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support to the Financial Manager in day-to-day financial operations.
- Accurately enter financial data into the SAP system.
- Track, document, and report on revenues and expenditures.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor cash transactions, ensuring that bank account balances are in alignment with financial reports; investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of revenues and expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Identify and resolve any accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
- Process and record entries in the General Ledger.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Post payroll-related transactions based on HR reports.
- Manage Accounts Payable, including the accurate processing of bills and credit card charges, ensuring proper classification and verification of all expenses.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate posting, classification, and record-keeping of daily transactions.
- Supervise and streamline billing and collections procedures to ensure efficiency.
- Manage the billing process for clients, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other financial documentation.
- Maintain and update accounting journals, ledgers, and transaction records.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Support the monthly variance analysis of expenses.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required, contributing to the overall office operations.
- Provide operational assistance across various departments as requested by management.
- Manage filing responsibilities to ensure easy access to important documents.
- Assist in compiling and preparing information for the company’s annual tax returns.
- Collaborate with headquarters, as well as plant personnel, clients, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in financial or accounting support roles.
