Position Summary
The Assistant Assembly Manager supports the Assembly Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met. This role involves supervising assembly staff, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Assembly Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing assembly operations.
- Supervise assembly line workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to prevent delays and downtime.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Train and mentor assembly staff to improve productivity and skill levels.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality Control, Logistics, Engineering) to streamline operations.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in assembly operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, production planning, and quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or similar.
- Proficiency in production planning and workforce management.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP/MRP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
