We are hiring a talented professional to join our team, and Rose Aircraft Services is a great place to grow your career. A Parts Purchaser will take an active role in all aspects of a part’s journey, from pricing the part in quote all the way to receiving it into inventory.
Responsibilities for Parts Purchaser
- Monitor Corridor requests and create purchase orders
- Communicate with various vendors to find the ideal purchasing solution for each part
- Maintain record of quoted pricing, purchase orders created, and items ordered
- Provide an accurate report of materials for each aircraft – pending payment, ordered, expected, and delivered
- Confirm all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all inventory is in excellent condition
- Work with Inspection team and Accounting to ensure all receiving paperwork is accurate and complete
- Maintain the parts stockroom – this includes annual inventory assessments, monitor tool calibration schedule, assist employees with retrieving items, organize and sort parts in inventory – identifying parts that need to be purchased, schedule shipments from the facility, and receive packages that arrive to the facility
Qualifications for Parts Purchaser
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as a good, professional relationship with vendors is vital to maintain
- Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other programs
- Typing and record-keeping skills essential to maintaining accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding purchases and stockroom inventory
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Ability to stay on task
- Personal accountability and integrity are essential as a purchaser
- Experience working safely with stockroom ladders and tools is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many items are cumbersome and heavy
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical exertion for extended periods and working primarily while standing
- Organizational skills are necessary to successfully manage parts purchasing while maintaining a functional stockroom
