Rose Associates is in search of an enthusiastic and skilled Helpdesk Technician to join our team. This key role involves providing essential technical support to Rose end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The Helpdesk Technician will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and professional support, maintaining optimal system performance. Additionally, this role requires effective communication and collaboration with other IT team members to address complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service to support the technological needs of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitor and respond to support requests in a timely manner, including onsite and remote.
- Travel to offsite locations to perform new installation of hardware.
- Onboarding and Offboarding of properties, to ensure all computer hardware are accounted for.
- Conduct IT Orientation for new employees, introducing them to the IT environment, policies and procedures.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Understanding of Zoom telephone and administrator portal.
- Understanding of Okta administrator portal.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for complex problem resolution.
- Accurately document incident and problem requests in the service management platform.
- Quote new hardware in accordance with company policy and manage vendor relations.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and process them following internal protocols.
- Manage various IT infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient execution and completion.
- Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the building to address community-related matters, including exceptional communication skills to meet with tenants, staff, vendors and visitors.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances.
- Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year in an IT support role.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: IT Professional, or similar would be advantageous.
- Effective troubleshooting and resolution of hardware and software issues, leading to minimal downtime and enhanced system reliability.
- Successful remote support delivery, ensuring client issues are resolved quickly and efficiently, contributing to high user satisfaction.
- Efficient onboarding of new employees, ensuring they are well-integrated into the IT environment with a clear understanding of procedures and systems.
- Strong relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring complex issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Accurate and thorough documentation of incidents and resolutions, enhancing the knowledge base for future problem-solving.
- Continued enhancement of IT infrastructure through evaluation and optimization of current configurations and processes.
- Effective management of IT infrastructure projects, delivering them on time and within scope, thereby contributing to the overall stability and efficiency of the IT environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in infrastructure technologies and security-focused environments.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting for efficient results.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Network issues

- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) on an as-needed basis is required.
