The Summer Associate is the owner of the customer relationship, from the initial marketing contact through the lifecycle of their residency. Emphasis will be placed on strong sales skills, achieving targeted goals and delivering exceptional customer service for current and prospective residents.
Responsibilities
- Contact prospective residents, create guest cards, and input their information into database
- Conduct presentations of the building’s amenities and apartments to prospective residents as needed
- Assist prospective residents with the application process
- Ensure approved applicants’ move-in process is smooth
- Research and produce comparable (comp) reports
- Interface with residents to address maintenance issues, lease renewals, and resolve any concerns
- Work closely with the management team to ensure that the apartment community is meeting targeted occupancy and revenue goals
- Review leases for accuracy and completeness
- Assist and support site Lease Administrators, Leasing Representatives and Property Managers
- Assist with audits as requested
- Perform general administrative duties and ensure all tasks are completed on time with follow up as needed
- Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested
Qualifications
- 2-4 years’ experience in the retail, sales, or service industry
- Technical experience with application processing software strongly preferred (i.e. CRM (LUV), On-Site and MRI)
- Knowledge of the NYC residential rental market is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in navigating computers to include Microsoft Office; iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work while demonstrating ability to produce results and resolve problems
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Work authorization (required)
- Availability for regular business hours (9:00am – 6:00pm) to include Saturdays and Sundays

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
