Summary :
Rose Bowl Masters Swim Team is an Adult swimming program that is run by the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. We are managed by a Head Coach that directs and organizes the program.
The position of Assistant Coach will report directly to the Head Coach.
The program has approximately 250 swimmers with 4 main workouts a day; 5 : 30am, 6 : 30am, 12pm and 7pm for 1 hour each Monday thru Friday. Saturdays there is a 5 : 30-6 : 30am Distance Training group and 6 : 30-7 : 30am a Technique group.
General Responsibilities :
- Coaching Adult swimmers with a Competitive background ages 18 and older
- Assist the Head Masters Coach in coaching and coordinating structured workouts for the team.
- Assistant Coach will help promote and expand the team membership through team building and a positive attitude.
- Attend and assist at all scheduled Swim Competitions, Events and Activities that involve the team.
- Assistant Coach will attend all team meetings and coach's meetings.
- Assistant Coach will teach, instruct and correct swimmers at every opportunity.
- Actively promote open water, pool and triathlon competitions

Rose Bowl Aquatics Center is an outdoor facility with 2 x 50m pools. We work mainly in the Competitive pool training year round. We have all weather conditions on deck and employees must be able to work in a year round Pasadena Outdoor Climate. We travel to meets locally, nationally and internationally. Coaches will be in constant contact with Adults, giving instruction, feedback and corrections. This needs to be at a level or volume that must be heard by individuals as well as the whole group if necessary because of the size of the pool and amount of people in the workouts.
