Production Manager – Hemp Products

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Production Manager to oversee the production of a variety of premium hemp products, including bulk pre-rolls, packaged pre-rolls, packaged hemp flower, and other hemp-based goods. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely production processes while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a production team and ensure inventory, raw materials, and packaging supplies are efficiently tracked and utilized. While reporting to a Project Manager, the Production Manager will operate independently and take ownership of the production process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the production of various hemp products to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Manage and supervise production team members, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively and completed efficiently.
• Monitor and improve production workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Inventory Management:
• Track inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products.
• Ensure all necessary materials are in stock to meet production schedules, working proactively to avoid shortages or delays.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using tools like Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
• Team Leadership:
• Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Train new team members on production processes and company standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to support growth and improvement.
• Organization & Planning:
• Create and maintain detailed production schedules to meet deadlines while balancing workloads.
• Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and quality regulations.
• Develop and implement systems to streamline production processes and ensure accuracy.
• Communication & Reporting:
• Regularly communicate with the Project Manager regarding production progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed production reports, including output metrics, inventory usage, and team performance.
• Address and resolve any production issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Previous experience in production management, preferably in manufacturing, hemp, or similar industries.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer-based tools for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Solid math skills for inventory management, production tracking, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and upper management.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve production challenges.
• Other Requirements:
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with hemp products or natural goods production is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
