About the Role

We are seeking UI Motion Designers with a passion for crafting engaging and intuitive motion experiences. Your role will focus on delivering motion concepts and production-ready assets that elevate our digital products, similar to the polished animations seen in products like Duolingo. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to create animations that enhance the user experience, align with brand guidelines, and are optimized for performance across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Motion Concept Development : Ideate and present motion concepts to showcase how animations can enhance user interactions, transitions, and storytelling.
Production-Ready Assets : Deliver polished animations in MP4 and Lottie JSON formats for seamless integration into web and mobile applications.
Design Integration : Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure animations align with design specifications and are implemented flawlessly.
Best Practices & Guidelines : Develop and share patterns, principles, and guidelines for motion design across devices (TVs, tablets, wearables, mobile) and platforms (web, iOS, Android).
Optimization : Ensure all assets are lightweight, performant, and optimized for a variety of devices and screen sizes.
Iteration & Feedback : Refine animations based on stakeholder input, user testing, and performance data.
Creative Innovation : Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques to create cutting-edge motion designs.

Requirements

Experience : 4 Years of proven expertise in motion design, with a portfolio showcasing UX-focused animations for digital products.

Technical Proficiency : Mastery of Adobe After Effects (including plugins like Bodymovin for Lottie asset creation) and familiarity with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge : Strong understanding of UX / UI design principles and how motion enhances usability and engagement.

Optimization Skills : Experience optimizing animations for performance on web and mobile platforms.

Collaboration & Communication : Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points

Experience with 3D animation tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Spline.

Proficiency in Rive for creating advanced animations.

Illustration Skills : Ability to create custom illustrations to complement animations.

Experience designing animations for educational platforms or gamified experiences.
