Job Description: Casework Services Provider
Rose Family Counseling Center is seeking compassionate and professional individuals to deliver in-home and community-based casework services in Lake County, Northwest Indiana. These services aim to enhance the well-being of children, youth, and families by promoting resilience, nurturing relationships, and ensuring children’s physical, mental, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Our caseworkers provide family-centered and culturally competent services that reduce maltreatment, improve caretaking and coping skills, and support healthy family dynamics. Experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply to serve as positive role models for the clients we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to assess and support families.
- Participate in DCS, Probation, and Community Partners case planning.
- Facilitate supervised visitation sessions.
- Provide parent education and support.
- Facilitate transportation as needed.
- Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings.
- Advocate for the needs of children and families.
- Implement behavior modification strategies.
- Provide life skills training and mentoring to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a directly related human service field from an accredited college.
- OR: A minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with families in the child welfare system.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Automobile insurance.
Background Checks:
Per federal, state, and DCS policy, the following background checks must be completed with satisfactory results:
- Child Protective Services (CPS) History Check.
- National Sex Offender Registry Check.
- Fingerprint-based State Check.
- Local Law Enforcement Check.
